Francisco has been hired to write the upcoming crime thriller “Packs” about the rise of “designer” marijuana across state lines in a multi-million dollar illegal drug trade.
Packs will be directed by Daniel Ragussis ("Imperium" starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Toni Collette, Sam Tramell and Tracy Letts.)
Francisco also served as co-producer and story consultant on "Imperium," which was released from Lionsgate Premiere in 2016.
Born and raised in Queens, Francisco graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from City University of New York. He then earned his M.F.A. in Film Directing at the Columbia University School of the Arts, where he was honored as a Film Division Fellow.
Francisco's thesis film, "St. Paul," has won numerous awards, including Best Short at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival, and the IFP Audience Award.
His second short, "Cookie," premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and was a Finalist in the NBC Universal Shortcuts Film Festival.
Francisco has also directed commercials and industrials for agencies such as Cline Davis and Mann (CDMi), Euro RSCG and Brand Addict for clients such as Genentech, Match.com, Human Genome Scienecs, and Glaxo Smith Kline.
Currently, Francisco is in development on the feature film ASHER, starring Danny Glover and Mekhi Phifer, and in pre-production on THE LOW END THEORY starring Sofia Yepes from his award winning short, "St. Paul," and Rene Rosado ("Major Crimes" on TBS).
